Ross J. Sanfilippo, D.M.D.
Dr. Ross Joseph Sanfilippo is originally from New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1983 at Farleigh Dickinson University. Dr. Sanfilippo received his DMD degree from Farleigh Dickinson University School of Dental Medicine in 1988. He completed his four year residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nassau County Medical Center in Hempstead, New York. He was Chief Resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery there from 1991-1992. He then joined the private practice of Dr. Anthony Petrilli here in New London, Connecticut. Dr. Sanfilippo, his wife Donna and four children live in New London County and are all active in the community. He continues to maintain that active, modern private practice in New London, Soundview Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Ross J Sanfilippo is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Sanfilippo is affiliated with Lawrence and Memorial Hospital and is past President of the Medical Staff. Lawrence and Memorial Hospital is a 265 bed acute care community hospital with a medical staff of over 375 physicians and surgeons. Dr. Sanfilippo continues to be active in Medical Staff leadership and serve on several committees at L&M Hospital. Dr. Sanfilippo consults with the Connecticut State Department of Health for peer review cases. Dr. Sanfilippo and the staff at Soundview Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice the full scope of the specialty including: surgical extractions, wisdom teeth, dental implants, bone grafting, maxillofacial reconstruction, oral pathology, maxillofacial trauma surgery and orthognathic surgery.
